Ken Slachta Jr
Musician, Producer,
Teacher
My name is Ken Slachta Jr and I have been making music for as long as I can remember. Acoustic piano is my number one instrument, but I love the Hammond organ and pretty much any instrument with a keyboard. I’ve been fortunate to have played music in church for nearly 35 years. During that time, I’ve served as music and choir director for multiple churches. I’ve been privileged to have recorded on a variety of studio and live projects. I regularly perform in concerts with various musical groups. I am largely self-taught with the basis of my musical formation being an ear approach and studied classical and jazz theory through self study. I later attended Bowling Green State University for choral/vocal education where I also declared a jazz piano performance minor. My style can best be described as an eclectic fusion of gospel, jazz, classical, and contemporary Christian music.
I often see musicians or aspiring musicians continue to struggle with putting it all together when trying to grow in the craft, overcomplicating the process, or investing time in things that have a little to no return. They haven’t learned how to “learn” and as such often begin to self-eliminate or continue to be frustrated with the slow pace of their progress. If this describes you at all, there is a better way, and there is hope! My drive is to teach musicians how to learn, how to maximize the value of the time they invest in practice, and how to release the unique musical contribution they have to offer the world!

Producer
I started producing music in the past couple of years and I am quite passionate about the entire process. Understanding the artist’s desires and taking a musical seed through the process to successful release is incredibly fulfilling!
Orchestrator
Whether your song or album needs a full orchestral arrangement, a string quartet, or a mix of a smaller orchestral ensemble, I am able to provide orchestral arrangements using high-quality sample libraries and even provide scores for you to use for live recording purposes.
Teacher/Clinician
I am passionate about helping musicians at all skill levels to achieve their full potential, discover their own voice, and make their own unique contribution to the world. Additionally, I love working in a clinic/workshop setting with church bands to help them learn to play more effectively together.
